San Diego Public Library, Mission Valley Branch
A dedicated space inside the Mission Valley Library with check-out educational kits, homeschooling books for parents and kids, laptops for in-library use, sample curriculum, a laminator and a binding machine with free supplies. Homeschoolers can reserve the room (up to 18 people) for co-op meetings, get-togethers and programs.

Balboa Park museums
Museums in Balboa Park offer free general admission on a rotating schedule to City and County of San Diego residents. Bring photo ID with your address. Nov 3 and Dec 1: Fleet Science Center and San Diego Natural History Museum (not valid for films). Nov 10 and Dec 8: Air & Space Museum and Veterans Museum. Nov 17 and Dec 15: San Diego Museum of Art and Mingei (Nov 17 also Japanese Friendship Garden). Nov 24: Automotive Museum and Museum of Us. Special exhibits cost extra and organized groups may be restricted.

Educator discount
Area: Michaels stores in the San Diego area, and online
Michaels' own policy lists "teachers who work in ... home schools" under who qualifies for its 15% teacher discount. Many items are excluded (for example clearance, books, classes and some brands), so check the list on the policy page.

- Cost: Free to join (Michaels Rewards)
- When: Year-round
- Proof needed: Verify as a teacher in Michaels Rewards (checked by a third-party service) with a document showing your name, your school or organization, and your status. Michaels says a valid educator ID lets you make 3 purchases while verification finishes.
Educator discount
Area: Apple Store online and Apple Stores in the San Diego area
Apple's Education Sales Policy says any K-12 employee is eligible for education pricing, "including homeschool teachers."

- Cost: Education prices (vary by product)
- When: Year-round
- Proof needed: Apple may ask for extra qualifying information before it accepts an order, and it audits education purchases, so keep documents that show you homeschool. Yearly limits apply (for example one MacBook and two iPads per year).
